of Horn Lake, MS
March 13, 1921 - November 5, 2018
Mildred Louise Fleming Prewitt was the 13th child of Otto and Lydia Fleming, born on the 13th day of March, 1921. She was given her name by an Aunt with a sense of humor - being the 13th letter of the alphabet and her whole name containing 13 letters.
Mildred attended school in Benton and graduated in 1939. She met John Prewitt in the fall of 1941 and they were married June 10, 1942. They had two children, Beverly Louise Prewitt Moore and John Ralph Prewitt II.
John and Mildred were long standing members of the First United Methodist Church in Benton, Arkansas. Mildred worked for Kroger for many years and retired when John retired from Bell South. They traveled, were Good Sam Campers, and spent time with extended family. Mildred will be sorely missed by family and friends, but we know what a joyous reunion there was in heaven on November 5th, 2018.
Mildred is survived by daughter Beverly Moore, grandchildren Christi Armstrong and Leigh Burkhead, daughter-in-law Gerrie Prewitt, and grandchildren Jon Michael and Jessica Prewitt, great grandchildren Madison Vance and Lauren and Cameron Burkhead.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Benton, Arkansas with a time of visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.

God is eager to do it again. Jehovah hates death; he views it as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again.—Job 14:14, 15.
Beverly, Gerrie and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Aunt Mildred will be missed by so many. I always adored her sense of humor and positive outlook on life. She was so much fun! I can only imagine how loud Heaven was when she arrived. I know it was a glorious Fleming Family reunion! I will always have the fondest memories of Aunt Mildred. My heart is with you as we celebrate the life of this wonderful woman.
XOXO,
Shelley Fleming
May you have comfort through the promises of our Heavenly Father Jehovah God at John 5:28-29 and Revelation 21:3-4.
