of Conway, AR

February 28, 1948 - December 10, 2005

Suzanne Harvey of Conway died Sunday (December 10, 2005) in her home at the age of 57. She was born on February 28, 1948, in San Antonio Texas to Ray and Emogene Burns, now of Conway Arkansas.

Suzanne traveled the world with her parents, her brother Danny Burns, now of Denver, Colorado, husband David Harvey, her son Daniel, of Ennis, Texas and her daughter Kalen, of Christiansburg, Virginia. Suzanne was a loving daughter, mother and wife. She was the center of her growing family.

Suzanne was a nurse: first in intensive care units in Texas, Colorado, Alabama, and Virginia; next in home health in Faulkner County; and finally as an advanced nurse practitioner in Morrilton, Russellville, and North Little Rock.

She is survived by her parents, her brother and his family, her husband and their children. She has already loved a new son-in-law, Scott Hart, a daughter-in-law, Tara Harvey, and three grandchildren, Dylan and Christopher (twins aged 8) and James (aged 3). She was preceded in death by her brother John William.

A celebration of her life will be held tonight, Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at 7:00pm in the Greene Chapel on the Hendrix College campus. Her family has established a scholarship fund for nursing students at UCA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Suzanne Harvey Scholarship Fund through the UCA foundation at UCA P.O. Box 4986, Conway, AR, 72035. In death, she continues to care as an organ donor. Suzanne was the bright spot in my day during the time I was taking chelation treatments at Dr. Bennet's office in North Little Rock. She was a loving, caring lady. She spoke often of "King James" and his antics. She often shared her love of her family and her jobs. I will miss her dearly.

Suzanne took care of my son since he was born in 2000. He is a child with special needs...that she took such wonderful care of him. I missed her so much when she left Morrilton. To find someone with such caring in the medical field these days was truley like finding an angel.
