Sarah Beth Watts Matthews returned her joy and laugh to heaven on Friday, November 2, 2018. Born in Little Rock on September 24, 1973 to Phil and Laverne Watts, Sarah graduated from Little Rock Central High School and Pulaski Tech. Sarah was a wondrous wife, mother, and friend who will be dearly missed for her kindness, humor, and zest for life by all those lucky enough to have known her. Sarah loved her family deeply and considered everyone she met a friend. She was quick to help and care for anyone she thought needed it. Sarah married the love of her life, Matt Matthews, on February 14, 1993 and they were blessed with two children.
She is survived by her husband, Matt Matthews, her children, Cooper and Carson Matthews, her parents, Phil and Laverne Watts, her sisters, Jennifer and Emily Watts, her niece, Olivia Watts, and her in-laws Richard Matthews Sr. and Karen Stair, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was welcomed home to heaven by Jesus Christ, her grandparents Lloyd and Mabel Cooper and Opal Watts. Sarah would tell everyone to love and laugh more.
A memorial celebration will be held at Central Church of Christ at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 8 followed by a reception.
So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
I am so glad I am that I met you in high school and we became such great friends. I regret we didn't keep in touch better but I was so happy to see you at the 25 year reunion. You were such a joyous outgoing silly sweet person and I will miss knowing that you are on this earth. Heaven has definitely gained an angel.
We remember Sarah as a child; full of energy and playfulness. As a woman we really never got to know her, but you could see her same bright smile in all of her pictures. What a loss her family and friends will experience in the days to come. We are so sorry, and the heartfelt sadness goes deep. We are praying for all of you that are left behind.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sarah was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She left a lasting impression on all who knew her and had a way of making everyone feel important. She was a special lady and one of a kind.
I had the opportunity to meet Sarah through work, she was a joy to be around and I am so very sorry for the overwhelming loss of her dear family and friends. Asking God to wrap His arms around all of you and carry you through the days ahead as only He can. Much love and sympathy.
Sarah will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who ever knew her! Her exhuberance, joy, love for God, family and friends will be remembered with kind thoughts. That sweet, sometimes mischievous smile and that head full of curly hair just invited those around her to share in her joy of life. I love you Sarah and look forward to seeing you again!
