of Redfield, AR
January 2, 1946 - November 1, 2018
Jerrie Anna Hogue, 72, born, January 2, 1946, passed away Thursday, November 1. Her parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Bevell, made their home in Little Rock, where Jerrie Anna was born and raised along with her three siblings: Ellen Prince (deceased), Mattie Nichols and Terry Bevell.
In January, 1964, she met Jim Hogue and two 18 year olds began a life commitment. They were married the following September, devoted themselves to each other and raised two children: Kimberly Bulloch (Jason) and Michael Hogue, who have provided them with four grandchildren: Jessi Ply, Olivia Bulloch, Joshua Hogue and Emily Hogue and one great grandson, Preston Ply.
Many others who benefited from the loving heart of Jerrie Anna would come to think of her as family. She and Jim moved to Redfield in 1972, where not only her own family, but others who were recipients of her huge heart, knew her as ''Bebop.'' She quietly bought jackets, shoes and other items for the youngsters of her Redfield family wherever she saw the need. Her heart was epic in size, and she showed family, friends, and strangers what love and compassion look like. She lived truth and love.
A combined visitation/service will occur at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I 30, Little Rock, on Tuesday, November 6 at 1:00 P.M. followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
I lived across the street from the Bevell Family while in Jr and senior high school. I was looking for Mattie and decided to look on Facebook and just today sent Jerrie a friend request. I decided to try to find Jerrie's phone number and saw that she very recently died. I am so sorry. I also saw that Ellen was deceased, and I was very saddened. I will send a friend request to Terry and hope to get news of the family.
I was happy to see that Jerri had a happy marriage and family and that she was very loving and loved.
Aunt Jerri Uncle Jim and Kim, y'all were the first people I met in the Hogue family, 1 of the things I miss the most are the times that everyone got together at deer camp, Christmas parties, etc. Aunt Jerri always had a good story and a laugh loved her so much. I Pray that you find peace in how much she loved each of you. Losing someone so special is never easy and even after years some days will be hard but knowing one day we will all be together puts a smile on my face.
Sorry for your loss.
