Wanda Dunavan, age 86, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born August 03, 1932 in Helena, Arkansas to Charles and Inez (Howard) James.
She married Joseph Norton Dunavan on August 23, 1952. They spent 37 wonderful years together before he passed away on February 20, 1990.
Wanda worked at Wal-Mart for 25 years as a check out supervisor before deciding to retire. The local bowling alley was Wanda's favorite place to be while she was living in Helena.
Wanda is survived by her two sons: Tommy Dunavan (Nancy) of Colorado and David Dunavan (Ashley) of Mountain Home; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and two sisters: Patsy Snyder and Imogene Lynn.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents, Charles and Inez and one son, Joseph.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas.
