Carolyn (French) Shellnut passed from this life on September 25, 2018, at her home in Little Rock, AR. Carolyn was born on January 12, 1944 into the loving home of Thomas Luke and Anna Faye (Moody) French. Carolyn was married to her wonderful husband Charles Shellnut.
Carolyn's lifelong passion has been to the education of our young people. She was employed by Arkansas Department of Education for over twenty-three years. She was also a school teacher for many years after that, bringing a total of over forty years in the education field. She was not only passionate about others education, but also her own. Carolyn was a lifelong student. Her college years earned her a Masters Degree in education. She was also currently studying at UALR.
Carolyn was a very serious individual most of the time, but as the need arose she definitely knew how to ''clown'' around and make others laugh. Beside education there was other things that she dearly loved like watching football and collecting stoneware.
Preceding her in passing from this life are her parents; Thomas Luke and Anna Faye French.
Carolyn will be dearly missed by her husband, Charles; her daughter, Cheri Gregg of Sheridan, AR; step-daughter, Charlotte (Scott) Dunkle of Pensacola, FL; grand-daughter, Deanna Gregg; three step grand-children; Thomas, Timothy and Tara Dunkle. Carolyn will also be dearly missed by her siblings; sister, Kathy (Jimmy) Harness of Oxley, AR and brothers; John (Pat) French and Carson (Brenda) French, both of Clinton, AR.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm Monday, October 01, 2018, at Plant Baptist Church with funeral services following at 2:00 pm with Bro. Leo Murphree officiating. Interment will be at Plant Cemetery following the service.
