March 29, 1930 - August 8, 2018

Ellen Louise Glenn Rogers, 88, passed away on August 8, 2018. She was born March 29, 1930 in Coldwater, MS to James Kirk (JK) Glenn, Sr. and Louise McKinnon Glenn.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ellen Rogers Critzer (Rex) of Little Rock; her sister Michie Webster (Neal) of Grand Prairie, TX; and her brother, Joel K. Glenn (Martha) of Fort Worth, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Rogers; her parents; her step-mother, Frances Glenn; and her brother, James Kirk Glenn, Jr. of Houston, TX.
Ellen graduated from high school at Northwest Junior College in Senatobia, MS where she was voted Most Beautiful her senior year. She and John moved to Oxford, MS so he could attend college at Ole Miss. They lived in Memphis a few years before settling in Little Rock. They became lifelong members of the First Baptist Church. Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking, decorating, travelling, and antiquing. She and her husband enjoyed camping with friends as young adults and gardening in their senior years. They were avid Ole Miss fans attending many football games and graduations of family members. Ellen was a devoted wife and mother. She spent hours sewing beautiful clothes for her young daughter and taking her to years of piano and voice lessons.
Special thanks to the staff of Fox Ridge Chenal, Baptist Hospital, and Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation for their loving care of Ellen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, 10 Remington Drive, Little Rock, AR 72204.

Deborah, my parents Bob & Wanda Young have been friends with your sweet parents for many, many years. Mom was saddened to hear of Ms. Ellen’s passing.
I too, have very fond memories of them. I remember our camping trips, talking to them about antiques. My husband bought an antique radio from them that we had for a long time.
When I think of them, I remember their sweet smiles and all the laughter. They talked about you all the time.
Praying for comfort.
Many blessings,
Donna Goss

Miss Ellen was a dear friend. I will certainly miss her sweetness. We had many conversations especially about living “up on the hill.” I know she will be missed by her family and friends.
