Earl Bragg Crockett, age 93, of Little Rock died on May 25, 2018. Born in Dallas, Texas, the son of John Burton and Ruth Bragg Crockett.

He was a graduate of McAlester High School in McAlester, Oklahoma and upon graduation in 1942 enlisted and served in the Naval Air Corps in World War II. After discharge in January of 1946, he held positions with Stacy Brothers Paving Company of Johnson City, Tennessee and Sanford Tobacco Company of Sanford, North Carolina. Following, he had a long association with the Friden Calculating Machine Company of San Leandro, California. He was the founder of Crockett Business Machines, Inc. in Little Rock, retiring in 1997 after selling the business to his long-time friend, David Williams. The company is now known as Lineage, LLC. He was a former president of the Pulaski Height Lions Club where he had been a member for over 30 years. He delivered Meals on Wheels for over 15 years to the residents of Parris Towers. The family ask that memorial contributions be made to Meals on Wheels.

He was referred to as the Duke of Earl by his friends, colleagues, family and Little Rock Athletic members. Earl was a true southern gentleman, always interested in the well-being of others. When he entered, his smile and demeanor would light up the room.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Bragg Crockett and his stepmother, Nell Bryant Crockett, his brother John B. Crockett and wife Gene, his first wife Suzanne Ellerbee Crockett, his second wife Jane Wells Crockett and both of his daughters, Suzanne Pyron Kelley and Mary Tully Ritchie, and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Dollar.

He is survived by his wife, Edwina; two granddaughters, Stacy Pyron Debartolo of Boston, MA, and Mary Tully Pryon Lawson of Houston, TX.; step-daughter Jan Wells; step-son Beau Whalen of Fayetteville, AR; nephews David Crockett of Clarksville and John Crockett of Phoenix, AZ, and four great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Precious.

A memorial service will be held at Roller-Chenal Home with Reverend Dan Brand officiating on Tuesday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. There will be a graveside service at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.

Earl was a friend in mine for 30 years! We had a lot of laughs together at the LRAC! He was a wonderful and thoughtful person and will me missed.
