Pernie Lea Barnett, 79, of Sherwood, Arkansas, was born to Johnie & Clara (Banning) Chance in Bee Branch, Arkansas. She went to her Heavenly Home on May 24, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorene Owens; brother, Hurley Chance; and daughter, Vickie Stricklin.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Barnett of Sherwood; daughter, Pam (Kenny) Freemyer; son, Keith (Freda) Barnett; sons-in-law, Mike Stricklin & Jeff Slater; grandchildren, April Robbins (David Maxwell), Chris (Michelle) Robbins, Maghan Slater, Craig (Rachel) Slater; great grandchildren, Jaida, Jordan, Darian, Jessie and Lexi; great great grandchildren, Hope, Addison, Christina and one on the way; plus Sister Myrtle Tindall and Brother Wayne Chance. She also leaves a host of beloved extended family and friends.
She is a member of Cross Roads Freewill Baptist. She was a military wife and amazing seamstress working at fabric stores to support her fabric habit. She lived and loved her family and friends bringing laughter and love to us all. We will miss you our beloved Mom.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 10:00AM 12:00PM at Roller-Owens Funeral Home; 5509 JFK Bld, North Little Rock. Funeral service will follow at 12:00PM with burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
this picture is so just like her.. today it was with great sadness and shock we learned of lea and vickies passing.. i called lea on her cell # just recently and no ans. i was wondering why i didnt get a call back. never crossed my mind anything drastic was wrong. she was a sweet lady.. i loved talking with her even she called me crazy lady.. i agreed with her.. lol.. she always had a smile on her face. its so much pain to bear losing 2 family in 2 years my heart goes out to the family all and pray Bob is holding up. ok..and missy i miss her too.. hope she is ok..love n hugs to all..
Prayers and fond memories are what I have to remember about your Mom. I was deeply saddened after Betty told me she passed. Remembering her wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in my heart. May she rest in peace. May our Lord bless and comfort you and your families during this time of grief.
My condolences to Mr.Barnett and family she was an amazing and sweet lady. It was a pleasure to know her.

We shared many wonderful memories through our years at First Church. My favorite was the day you and Bob renewed your wedding vows.. I will miss our prayer times and laughter until we can be together again in heaven We love you more than you will ever know. Your support meant the world to us.
