Robert C. "Bob" Brown, 74, of Little Rock went to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Bob was born on November 26, 1943 to Malcom "Mac" Brown and Bonnie Tilghmon Brown in Dermott, AR.
Bob knew where he would spend eternity and he loved to spread the good news of the gospel. If you were around Bob, you were blessed by his sense of humor and knew you would be laughing. It was a joy to hear his stories spiced with humor. He was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by the love of his life, Julianne Elbert Brown of 36 years; daughter, Heather Lawson (Scott); son, Craig Brown (Beth); 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, and sisters-in-law, Rebecca Elbert and Patricia Byrd (Donald).
Bob graduated from Ouachita Baptist University. He received an ROTC commission and served two years in the US Army. He worked for Arkansas Legislative Audit, served as Chief Deputy of the Arkansas State Treasurer's Office, was Director of Administrative Services for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and was Senior Vice President of Government Consulting for SBC Computer Technology.
After retiring, Bob became a mentor to men with various areas of brokenness with a focus on healing by Jesus Christ. He was a committed member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 36 years, was in the Anglers Sunday School Class, served in the food pantry, and was a member of the Benevolent and Hospitality Committees. He was a member of Bible Study Fellowship and served as a Group Leader.
The family expresses thankfulness for the responsiveness, professional competence and compassion provided to Bob by Baptist Home Health, and Baptist Hospice during the course of his illness.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5:00-6:00PM at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR (501) 224-8300 with a Praise Service at 11:00AM, Monday, May 21, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church 501 N. Shackleford Rd, Little Rock, AR 72211. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Foundation, Louisville, KY 40280 or to Immanuel Baptist Church Missions, 501 N. Shackleford, Little Rock, AR 72211.
I was very blessed to have known Bob. He often visit Lake Ouachita State Park where I work and I enjoyed our conversations very much. Bob was a great man and will be truly missed. Bob was a true angel on earth and now will be a real angel in heaven.

Bob was a very valued friend friend and we will miss his smiles and laughter so much. He lived a very full life serving his Lord and is now enjoying being in his presence. We love you and will see you soon.
Julie and Family, One on the great memories in my life was my friendship with Bob. He was an inspiration and I could leave after being with him with the front of my shirt wet from tears caused by laughter. My prayers are with you during this time.
