William Roy (Bill) Motley 89, of Sherwood, went to be with the Lord and his loving wife, Charlsie Motley, Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was born September 2, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Albert Motley and Emma Lilian Motley. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy in WWII.

Bill is survived by his loving son William Daniel, and daughter Melissa Duncan, son in law Brian Duncan, two grandchildren Chad (Meghan) and Cody (Mandy) Duncan, four great grandchildren, Knox, Nash, Drace and a future baby, and sister Emma Loetscher.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brothers Harold and Daniel Motley.

Funeral arrangements are Monday March 12th, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, visitation begins at 10am and funeral is at 11am.

My Uncle Bill was my favorite uncle. He was always so kind, funny, caring and just darned good. Coming out as a gay man in Arkansas was a tad problematic for me, but he accepted me wholheartedly as did my Aunt Charlsie. I will miss them both.

Uncle Bill and Aunt Charlsie were my favorite uncle and aunt. I am glad he is with Charlsie now. We shared many happy times together. Melissa thinking of you and your family and miss all of you so much.
