of Gassville, AR

November 28, 1956 - December 27, 2017

Mrs. Linda Sue Smith, 61, of Gassville, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 27, 2017. She was born to Bob and Dorothy Drott on November 28, 1956 in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Linda had a gentle manner as she handled horses, sheep, goats, cows, parrots, cats and dogs. The beauty of wild animals captivated her every time she spotted an antelope, elk, or deer. We all enjoyed watching her watch them. She always said she wasn't a girly girl and she belonged in the outdoors. It's where she was content. Linda was strong and resilient. She served in the Navy from April 1989 to August 1999. She graduated from ASU with her Elementary Education Degree. She was such a hard worker. But, overall, we will remember her huge heart. That lady loved everyone. She adored her children. She embraced her grandchildren. She cherished her friends. She was devoted to her family, whether they were related to her or made a part of her created one. She smothered us all in unconditional support and encouragement. She thought we were all perfect. And, she loved her husband; she was a saint for putting up with his antics, but they fit. They bantered, adventured, and completed each other. We have lost a unique, beautiful soul filled with grace and wonder. Thank you for your love and thoughts as we celebrate her life.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Rick Smith of the home, two sons, Kenan Smith of Casper, Wyoming, Robert Smith (Lacy) of Flippin, Arkansas, one daughter, Tabitha Smith-Herron (Tye) of Casper, Wyoming, seven grandchildren, Taylor Herron, Paige Harmon (Nelson), Talon Herron, Kenan Smith, Kayden Smith, James Byrd and Judy Smith. Also surviving are her parents, Bob and Dorothy Drott of Mountain Home.

Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 P.M., Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private.
