Merry Ellen Gillespie, 58, of Elaine, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Gillespie was born on December 25, 1959 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to the late Billy Eugene and L. Wanda Lee Williams Ivy. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Mrs. Gillespie is survived by her husband of 30 years, Danny Gillespie of Elaine; two sons, Daniel Macias (Fawnda) of Trumann, Arkansas and Franklin Ivy (Cecilia) of Trumann; one daughter, Iris Ivy (Johnny) of Mellwood, Arkansas; two sisters, Laura Everett of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Samantha Hilderbran of Trumann; four brothers, Donald Ivy of Bono, Arkansas, James Ivy of Bono, Scott Ivy of Murfreesboro, Arkansas and Billy Ivy (Patricia) of Paragould; nine grandchildren Ashley Johnson, Hollie Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Devin Clairday, Bailey Clairday, Taraca Macias, Daniel Macias, Jr., Trevor Thompson and Trace Ivy; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews, Jimmy Hilderbran and George Thomas.
Visitation for Merry Ellen Gillespie will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home.

Our deepest condolences to Danny and the extended family on Merry's untimely passing. Although she has left these mortal coils, her lasting memory and legacy lives on in her deeds and the ones she left behind. May God Bless her and grant her peace until we all meet her again.

I will remember her for her zest for life, smile, and kindness.I will always remember Aunt Merry had a special glowing smile which was contagious with anyone she came in contact with. Aunt Merry's up beat personality will always be remembered. I have many fond memories of Aunt Merry's effervescent personality and know she will be greatly missed. To my family I love you all
