James Dale Ward, 75, of Benton passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Dale was retired from Orbit Valve (later Cooper Emerson).
He was born in Pauls Valley, OK on February 13, 1942 to the late James Everett and Lula Alma Looney Ward. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Ward and step-son Richard Burkhart. Mr. Ward served in the U.S. Army for 19 years, receiving two Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, Distinguisted Flying Cross, The Air Medal, and numerous other medals.
He is survived by his loving wife, Morrisalene (Kessler) Ward; his children, Greg and Matthew; two stepsons, Rocky and Rob Burkhart; two sisters, Thenita and Kaye, and grandchildren, Caroline, Chet, Adam, and Ryan and three great grandchildren, Sadie, Gwen, and Will.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander officiated by Rev. Carlton Cross.
Lunch will be served at Salem United Methodist Church, 1647 Salem Rd., Benton, AR 72019.
