Lonnie BurchI am a Veteran.

of Flippin, AR

November 4, 1918 - November 18, 2016

November 18, 2016

He was born on November 4, 1918 at Flippin, Arkansas to Ollie (Wooten) Burch and Henry Burch.

He is survived by his daughter, Marlene Burch Holland;
grandchildren: Brian McFarland, Deanna McFarland Rose, and Jeffrey Newman;
his great-grandchildren: Brendan McFarland, Kyla McFarland, Taylor Harrington, and Corey Rose;
his great-great-grandchildren: Brayden McFarland, Daelan Wesley, and Olivia Rose.
He is also survived by his sisters: Inez Burch Hurst and Leone Burch Hudson;
many nieces, nephews, and friends;
and his special friend Bea Moore.

He was proud to be able to say he was a WWII veteran and fought for his country. When he retired from the Corps of Engineers, being retired didn't suit well with him so he went to work at Mar Bax and loved greeting people at the door. After that he was very involved in the Senior Center and liked playing cards, visiting, and having lunch. When he could no longer attend due to failing health he enjoyed company and like going to White Sands whenever he felt up to it. He was a long standing member of the Church of Christ and until later years would rarely miss a service.

Visitation for Mr. Burch will be 1:00 until service time Tuesday November 22, 2016 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Luell McCutchen officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Flippin, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Brendan McFarland, Taylor Harrington, Corey Rose, Larry Blasdel, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Hudson, Dane Hudson, Kelly Hurst, .

Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Arkansas or to Marion County Senior Center.

Wishing I could be there with you to celebrate your Granddad's life, but you know how I feel.

May God's healing grace bring comfort to your pain as you try to remember only the good times you had with him.

Love you all

Jan
