Miss Maxine was a very dear friend to me. She started out as a patient of mine three years ago but she became So much more! She was a best friend to me and I could talk to her about anything. I would see her at least once a week and we had many talks, such a wise and beautiful lady inside and out. She was just like family, miss Maxine I love you very much and Will miss you so much!!!

I took care of Maxine in the hospital. We became friends and found out Mr. Row (her friend) had known me since birth. We also have the same birthday. I saw her the next year at the clinic where I work, and we got to see each other and talk again. She was a very sweet lady, and I will miss her. I know now she is out of pain and with our Lord and Savior in heaven. I love you, Miss Maxine!

I used to go to Dr. Williams as a child when he was a dentist. She worked for him before she worked at the Citizens Bank. I thought she was super nice. Then I saw her about fifteen years ago at the Western Sizzlin and she knew me. May the Lord be with her family and friends during this very difficult time.

My Bowers family lived next door to the Stroud family all my life. I remember Maxine and her mom and dad. I thought she was a very pretty girl. My condolences to her family and friends. My mom bought fresh eggs from Mrs. Stroud and I remember so well being amazed at her dad sweeping the porch holding the broom with the stub of his arm. The house is still standing and I understand it is the oldest standing house in Batesville. None of this is relaxant to her passing but isn't what I remember from my childhood.
