Shirley Jean Hannon Hinds, 82 was born to William Thomas and Evelyn Olcott Lynch Hannon on October 10, 1931 in Watsonville, California and passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Conway, Arkansas.

Mrs. Hinds was a home maker for many years and later returned to school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her faith was Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Harold Wayne Hinds, a daughter, Anita Louise Hinds, and a sister, Virginia Aue.

She is survived by four daughters, Laura Anne Swayne of Pensacola, Florida, Carol Marie (Ben) Sivley of Alabama, Karen Lee Hinds of Conway, Mary-Elizabeth Christine Hinds of Griffithville, six grandchildren, Anita Neptune, Briana Brandt, Meagan Cooper, Bekah Bow, Paul Stinnett, Patrick Swayne, four great-grandsons, two sisters Claudia Peden of Oregon, Sue Heinle of Virginia, a brother Dale Hannon, of Surprise, Arizona, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 1 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral Services will begin at 2 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary and family, I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. It is never easy to loose your mother. I know she will be missed by all her friends and family but our God's word reminds us that it's only for a little while. May god bless you all.

Mary, I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew your mom through school at Harding and also she and I graduated nursing school together. She was a quiet, sweet person, smiled a lot and seemed to always have a positive attitude. Remembering you and your family in prayer. God bless..

So sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She was a servant of the Lord and I enjoyed working with her at the hospital in surgery. May God comfort her family during this sad time. But, praise God, she is at home with her heavenly family.
