David Ray Altom, 66 went to be with our Lord on May 22, 2013. He was born on May 18, 1947 in Heber Springs to Arlie and Erma Lee Hynds Altom.

He was preceded on death by his Father Arlie Altom and a niece Tracy Melinda Holloway and a nephew Brian David Stephenson.

He is survived by his mother Erma Lee Altom, a sister Donna Vinson (Frank) all of Judsonia, a brother Danny Joe Altom (Pat), 2 nieces April Altom and Shelly all of Fargo, Arkansas, several great and great-great nieces and Nephews. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was known for being a great musician and he played all over the state of Arkansas and Louisiana. He played at the Tommy Trent Fun Barn and he was a star on the Mountain Music Jamboree in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He toured on many bus Trips entertaining his biggest fans the Kensett Blue Devils.

David will be greatly missed by his friends in Hot Springs. The last time that I got to see David was when Tracy Byrd played at the college in Searcy 14 years ago. He came to see Scott Coney, one of his playing buddies. R.I.P. my friend.
