October 16, 1953 - January 21, 2012
Buster (Noel Ivey) Vint went to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, January 21, 2012. He was born October 16, 1953, in Little Rock to Earnest and Lou Woodson Vint and grew up in North Little Rock. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1972 and married his high school sweetheart, Beth House Vint. Buster retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad and devoted his time to doing all sorts of work for his church and church family at Salem United Methodist Church.
Buster was a great guy and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Beth, sons and daughters-in-law Justin and Amber Vint, David and Holly Vint and Mark and Sara Vint; beloved grandchildren, Emma and Weston, Gracie and Will, and Carly; sisters Phyllis Sadler and husband Johnny, Carolyn Mabry and husband Phillip, and brother Greg (Butch) Vint. Buster was loved by many and his passing is also felt by a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday January 24th at Salem United Methodist Church with visitation following in the fellowship hall. Arrangements by Roller McNutt Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heifer Project International, UAMS, or Arkansas Children's Hospital.
Beth and Family,
I just read about this in the Salem newsletter and my heart just sank. I often think about how you and Buster were always so very kind and good spirited, even when the headwinds were a bit strong. I pray for God's peace to be with you and your family. By the way...later on we'll give Buster a hard time for going home early....that is right after I kick Adam in the shins for what he and Eve did. :-) Hope I made you smile.
Beth, Buster was my best friend at Ole Main. We shared a lot of good times and laughs together. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family for your loss. He was a great man.

My deepest sympathy to Beth and the Vint family for their very sad loss. I went to high school with Buster whose thoughtfulness and kindness, then, were obviously evident through-out his entire life. It is clear from the many tributes to Buster that he touched a lot of lives in real and meaningful ways. Again, Beth, my heart-felt condolences..

Beth,
I know your heart is full of sadness but in time the memories will be medicine for the soul. There are so many wonderful things about Salem Methodist Church and Buster was one of the best. He was so sweet to pick up Kenny on biscuit mornings so he could attend. I will forever remember walking thru the doors at the hospital and seeing you and Buster there waiting to give me a hug. Kenny and Buster were very much alike...always wanting to help others and doing it with love and humor. Salem will not be the same but Heaven is rejoicing in his coming home. God Bless you Beth and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.. Much love and respect, Leigh
Beth,

He made the biscuits, mowed the churchyard, fed the Bible School kids, kept Amen alive, made everyone feel welcome, and quietly went about doing good. Buster was the backbone of Salem and was one of the best men we ever knew. His legacy is how very much he will be missed by so many! Beth, we send you our love and heartfelt sympathy.
