J.B. was born in Weiner on November 11, 1927, the son of Jennings Bryan Huber, Sr. and Jessie Hogue Huber. He graduated from Weiner High School in 1945 and lived in Weiner all his life. He began farming in 1946 and became well known in Poinsett County as a farmer.

He served on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors and Poinsett County Quorum Court. He was a member and treasurer of Poinsett County Drainage District #3 for 45 years. He was a member of the Arkansas Antique Car Club, the Cardinal Lodge 677 in Weiner, and the former Poinsett County Historical Society. He was a charter member and past president of the Weiner Lions Club. J.B. was committed to the community and surrounding area and began caring for Weiner Oak Grove Cemetery at an early age. He served as chairman of the Oak Grove Cemetery Association until his death.

J.B. was preceded in death by his parents, Jennings Bryan and Jessie Huber, a brother, Albert Lewis Huber, a sister, Margaret Huber Winters, and two infant grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie Day Huber of the home, a son, Bryan Huber and wife Marsha of Jonesboro; a daughter Maribeth Thomas and husband Patrick of Louisville, Ky; granddaughters, Laura Person and husband Barrett of West Memphis, Lisa Thompson and husband Brian of Jonesboro; grandson, Stewart Thomas and wife Rebecca of Raleigh, NC; a great granddaughter, Caroline Thompson of Jonesboro; and a sister, Juanita Keller of Weiner.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dr. Thomas E. Day, Ray Keller, Patrick Thomas, Stewart Thomas, Brian Thompson, and Barrett Person. Serving as honorary pallbearers are S.P. Schwarz, Buddy Schwarz, Sammy Rorex, Charles Givens, and Tommy Wofford.

Margie, Bryan, & Family,

J.B. was (and is) an incredible Christian man. What a special blessing to have known him! When King David's infant son died, he said, "I shall go to him, but he will not return to me." I think the same thing when I contemplate my friendship with J.B. He's now in heaven, enjoying the comfort of our Lord. He will not return to us, but one day soon we will join him in the joy of our Lord! I can't wait to see this wonderful friend again!!! May God's blessing of comfort be with you in this time of loss and sadness.

Our deepest condolences to all of the family. That last goodbye is never easy even though it is expected. JB was a good man and a leader in his church and his community. Most importantly he was a proud husband, father and grandfather who instilled in his family the core values of hard work, honesty and integrity. The world would be a better place if we had more people like JB.
