Arvel A. Dixon, age 77, of Sheridan, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2011. He was born December 1, 1933 in North Little Rock to the late Ralph Dixon and Mrytle Itha Sory Dixon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Harllen Gene Dixon.
He is survived by seven children: Patricia Frisk; Alan Dixon; Gary Paul Miller; Roseann Pate; Kathy Dixon; Robin Bradshaw and Tracy Rios; five brothers; four sisters; 15 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800 with George Yarberry and Leon Dixon, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow at Olive Hill Cemetery in Mabelvale.
Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
