Lorene Franks, 80 of Mountain View entered into rest on June 20, 2010 in Mountain Home.
Lorene was born March 8, 1930 in Fifty Six, Arkansas to Monroe and Jennie (Fitzhugh) Wallis.
She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a cook at the Stone County Nursing Home and retired as a cook from the Mountain View Schools.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat Rorie and husband Boyce of Mountain Home; two grandchildren, Pam Nolen and husband Clark of Fayetteville and Judy Lawrence and husband George of Mtn. Home; six great-grandchildren, Nate, Jacob and Bo Nolen of Fayetteville and Anna Claire, Whit and Ty Lawrence of Mtn. Home and a brother Bill Wallis of Mtn. View.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ulis Franks; brothers and sisters, Ed Wallis, Richard Wallis, Ray Lawrence, Lillie Buckingham, Bobbie Holmes, Virginia Gosser, Jim Wallis and Goldie Dodson.
Visitation is 10:30 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral service is 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. Clark Nolen and Bro. Darrell Gosser officiating and interment in Spoon Flat Cemetery, Fifty Six, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Danny Buckingham, Ricky Buckingham, Floyd Wallis, Leslie Franks, Kevin Mitchell and Roy Wallis. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Mitchell, J.T. Altman and James Earl Franks.
