Richard B. McNeil, 68, of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born March 30, 1941, in Durant, Oklahoma, to the late Clyde Roy and Oneta (Heard) McNeil; he retired from AP&L (now Entergy) and was a Navy Veteran.
He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Richard was a lifetime member of the NRA and former president of the Russell Trail Hunting Club.
A devoted husband to his wife, Mona Kaye (Scott) McNeil; loving father to his sons, Kyle McNeil and Rance McNeil and wife Shelly, all of Greenbrier; loving grandfather and great-grandfather to his six grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, and Aaron McNeil and Malorie, Makayla, and Petey McNeil; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Zoey McNeil; and a devoted brother to his sister, Jeneta Engel of Springtown, TX; and brother, James D. McNeil of Arlington, TX.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Stephenson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Springhill Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
Monica Kay, I just saw Richard's obit in the Ledger today. I am so sorry to read of your loss. May God bless you and your family during this difficult time.
