Edward Chatman, 79, Atkins formerly of Mtn. View entered into rest on March 25, 2008 in Atkins, Arkansas.
He was born April 27, 1928 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Harvey Andrew and Leona (Finch) Chatman. Edward was a member of the White Water Baptist Church. He worked in a sawmill. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his son, Edward Eugene Chatman and wife Teresa of Batesville; his daughter, Alice Herring and husband Dewayne of Atkins; a half-brother, Wayne Chatman and wife Becky; a sister, Georgia Crossley of Kansas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Leona Chatman, two brothers, Odis Chatman and Lonnie Chatman; and a sister, Violet Trolinger.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service is 2 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2008 with Bro. Hank Duvall officiating with interment in Levisy Flat Cemetery, Mtn. View
Pallbearers are Terry Polk, Jimmy Herring, Delburt Chatman, James Millsap and Brad Millsap. Honorary pallbearer is Brian Herring.
