Shawn Hargrove ,the son of Winston and Octavia (Clingings) Hargrove was born April 1, 1971 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Shawn entered into eternal rest February 1, 2008 at the age of 36 years.
On November 25, 1995, he married Mistie Echols and to this union three daughters were born: Kelsie, Kaitlin, and Kristan. Shawn was a dedicated husband and father. His family was the love of his life.
Shawn possessed a unique ability to relate to children and people of all ages. This was evident during the Christmas season when he assisted Mr. Babe Howard by being Santa Claus and meeting the needs of children in Millington, Tennessee.
Shawn was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing football at Marshall High School where he was a three time All-Conference selection, and two time All-State Line Backer. Shawn also played shortstop for Marshall's baseball team and was named two time All-Conference Selection.
Shawn had been employed by Millington Telephone Co. in Millington, Tennessee for the past 17 years where he enjoyed working with his father and many friends.
He loved hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers with his family, and friends. Shawn had a passion for the outdoors.
Shawn was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Church. He loved to barbeque for his friends and family at church cookouts. He was a kind, generous person who will be sincerely missed by family and friends.
His mother Octavia Hargrove, grandmothers: Vivian Clingings and Christine Wales, one Aunt Judy Samples , and one Uncle Coy Holliman precede him in death.
Survivors include wife Mistie of the home, three daughters: Kelsie, Kaitlin, Kristan, all of the home, father: Winston Hargrove of Bradford, Arkansas, brother: Dion and wife Stacey of Black Oak, Arkansas, nephew: Dillion Hargrove and nieces Demi and Kyra Hargrove all of Black Oak, Arkansas, Aunt Bernice Holliman of Rock Creek, Arkansas, Aunt Dean Pitts, and cousin Gary Holliman.
Visitation will be Monday, February 04, 2008 from 6-8 pm at Roller-Coffman Chapel.
Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 05, 2008 at Marshall Assembly of God Church with Don Campbell and Larry Luther officiating. Pallbearers: Adam Harris, Brad Smith, Tubby Myatt, Russell Roberts, Brian Echols, Brandon Echols, Richard Henderson, Billy Floyd, Clay LaValle, Anthony Tyler, Billy Howard and Ronnie Battershell. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery Harriet, Arkansas by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home.

I was so shocked to hear of Shawn's passing. It has been years since I had seen him but he was someone you never forget. His great sense of humor and silliness brings some great memories from MHS. I pray that you will find strength in each other as a family and know that Shawn is in Heaven now and you will be with him again someday! God Bless!
