Donald Ray Phillips, 84, of Batesville, Arkansas died April 16, 2020.
He was born February 23, 1936 in Marie, Arkansas to Virgil James Abraham Phillips and Myrtle Marie (Dowell) Phillips.
Donald was retired from ConAgra and was a member of the American Legion and served in the U.S. Navy. Donald loved karaoke and was an announcer at local wrestling events. He was always willing to help others and liked to make clocks in the shape of the state of Arkansas.
He is survived by his life partner Peggy Sue Phillips; one son, Donald "Bud" Phillips of Batesville; one daughter, Angela Parker (Gary) of Richmond, Texas; five grandchildren, Brandy Renfrow, Misty Campbell, Jason Kourakis, Aaron Brightwell, Summer Jennings; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Alma Mae Moore; one daughter, Kathy Phillips; and one grandson, Cody Phillips.
Pallbearers are Aaron Brightwell, Richard Kourakis, Jason Kourakis, Johnny Brightwell, Shaun Campbell, and J.T. Brightwell. Honorary pallbearer is Ronnie Dale.
There will be a private graveside service at Campground Cemetery with Larry Sellers officiating.
