Mikail Murphy, 29, of Batesville died March 29, 2020.

He was born May 9, 1990 in Oceanside, California to Samantha Murphy and Neil Mayer.

Mikail was a deeply spiritual person who had a heart of gold and always wanted to help people and any animals that needed care. He loved farming, growing things, and raising animals so much that he wanted to be a farmer. He was a member of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) and loved to fly.

He is survived by his mother; eleven half-brothers; one half-sister; two step-sisters, Elena Gibbons and Meghan Hamer, both of Batesville; paternal grandfather, George Mayer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; maternal grandfather, Gary Murphy of Bullhead City, Arizona; maternal grandparents, Enrique and Teresa Moreno of Alice, Texas; and step-mother, Reba Gibbons of Batesville.

Mikail is preceded in death by his father; paternal grandmother, Mary Mayer; maternal grandmother, Polly Murphy; and one brother, Nathan Crawford-Mayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Independence Humane Society 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, Arkansas 72501.

I loved kai for everything she was. Like many, kai and i have been through many things in life. I may not be able to get to kais funeral but, I will be there in spirit. Rest in peace my beloved friend.
