Margaret (Menard) Matthews, 94, of Batesville passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020.
She was born on July 23, 1925 in Batesville, Arkansas to William B. Menard and Bertha (Hall) Menard.
Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church and worked at Matthews Dental Office for over 50 years. She was an avid fan of the Razorbacks and the Chicago Cubs, she also enjoyed going to NASCAR races and watching them on TV. She loved to play golf, doing needle point, playing bridge and watching hummingbirds.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Douglas Matthews of Batesville; sister, Dorothy (Menard) Hays of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two nieces, Carol Massey and Jan Sitton both of Olive Branch, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Myrlas Matthews.
The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
Memorials may be made in her honor to First United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
