Carol Riley, 83, of Batesville passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020.
She was born on February 23, 1936 in Batesville, Arkansas to Allison "Dick" Shoemaker and Wilma Mary (Jullian) Shoemaker.
Carol was of the Baptist Faith and she loved her children and all of her grandchildren she also enjoyed cooking and loved serving all that she cooked for.
Survivors include her two sons, Steve Riley of Zion and Larry Riley of Batesville; daughter, Teresa Branscum of Batesville; daughter-in-law, Brenda Riley of Southside; five grandchildren, Rodney Heigle (Pam), Christie Byrd (Craig), Vanessa Bowren (Brandon), Meeta Foster (Chase) and Seva Taylor (Dustin); and nine great-grandchildren, Alicia Mason, Haylie Mason, Dakota Robertson, Brittany Heigle, Trenton Heigle, Brayden Bowren, Cayden Bowren, Madden Foster and Lawsyn Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Riley; son, Ricky Riley, and two sisters, Vivian Jones and Betty Burgess.
Graveside memorial services will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Bobby Sanders officiating.
I love you Granny. You will always be remembered, missed, and loved dearly. I will make sure the future generations in our family know of you and all that you have taught all of us. See you again one day.
You will be miss. Having you and Teresa as neighbors for 15yrs has been wonderful. We all became good friends and now we're calling 1 another family. Gonna miss you my friend , will forever love you. And I promise to look after Teresa until the end. RIP👼ðŸ™
