Sharlene A Harrison, 84, of Batesville passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019.
She was born at home on December 20, 1934 in Saffell, Arkansas to Eather Ivorn Gilliam and Ida Paralee (Stone) Gilliam.
Sharlene was a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ and loved her church. She loved her family especially spending time with her grandchildren. She worked for JK Southerland for 18 years and Landers Theater for over 40 years with her husband. Her favorite color was pink; she enjoyed sewing and quilting, reading and writing poetry, and loved to garden.
Survivors include her son, Stephen Gilliam Harrison (Debbie) of Spooner, Wisconsin; two daughters, Sherry Sharlene Johnson (Johnny) of Batesville and Martha Ann Higgs (David) of Heber Springs; seven grandchildren, Jason Harrison, Misty Decker, Stephen Harrison, Crystal Harrington, Jennifer Sterling, Heath Higgs and Evan Higgs; seventeen great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred Gilliam (Leslie) of Camp Springs, Maryland; one sister, Laura Jean McGinnis of Sheridan; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank J. Harrison; two sons, Frank (Frankie) Harrison and David Lynn Harrison; three brothers, Sig Gilliam, Woody Gilliam and Bill Gilliam; three sisters, Nora Smith, Stella Smith and Maye Diniakos; granddaughter, Rebecca Harrison; and great-grandson, Zachary Harrison.
Pallbearers are Keagan Harrison, Grady Harrison, Evan Higgs, Heath Higgs, Austin Harrington and Jason Harrison.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, December, 11, 2019 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Paragould Children's Home, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She was a very fine lady. I knew her in church and the Senior Center. She will be greatly missed. May God bless you and keep you close. My prayers and sympathy go out to the entire family.
I was blessed to meet Mrs Harrison only once & she truly was a kind, lovely woman with such a passion for her family. This beautiful lady with such a loving heart, may have left this world but will never truly leave, for she will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. May fond memories of her bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.
