Shirley (Newborn) Heathcock, 80, of Newark passed away Friday, October 11, 2019.

She was born on January 25, 1939 in Huffman, Arkansas to Marvin Newborn and Elsie (Hill) Newborn.

Survivors include her two daughters, Susan Smith (Tommy) of Newark and Rhonda Walker (Louis) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two step-sons, Dennis Heathcock (Melinda) of Santa Ana, California and Nathan Heathcock of St. Petersburg, Florida; one step-daughter, Paula Rogers (Greg) of Hot Springs; one sister, Reba Byers of Newark; four grandchildren, Amber Smith, Amanda McNeil, Carley Walker and Will Walker; five step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, Mason Fick, Brailynn Fick, Jace McNeil and Adilyn McNeil.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Heathcock; an infant son; and brother, Troy Newborn.

Pallbearers will be Ryan McNeil, Will Walker, Phillip Fick, Jace McNeil, Mason Fick and Jonathan Bushart.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Newark under the direction of Roller-Crouch of Batesville with Bro. Bill Goodwin officiating. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. following the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church just prior to service.

Shirley was a very sweet and wonderful person even though we kinda lost contact I'll always remember our time together at the Helena West Helena school lunch program sorry for you lost prayers for you all
