Barbara Quearry, 83, of Batesville died September 14, 2019.

She was born on July 11, 1936 in Oxford, Arkansas to Fred and Ottaline (Pinkston) McCarroll.

Barbara was a very independent and strong-willed person who loved having family at her home. She was the best grandmother and loved her kids and grandkids. In her free time, she enjoyed watching ''Wheel of Fortune'', going shopping, and talking on the phone with friends. She worked as a CNA for 27 years at Woodlawn Nursing Home and liked having get-togethers with her friends and former coworkers.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Edward Quearry; two sons, Kenneth Quearry (Renee) of Batesville, Roger Quearry of Locust Grove; two daughters, Elaine Dowell (Larry) of Batesville, Lisa Sullins of Conway; one sister, Mary Faye Pinkston of Tyler, Texas; nine grandchildren, Amanda Dowell, Keith Dowell, Jessica Ward, Tawny Quearry, Amanda Green, Ashley Williams, Alicia Barber, Brian Quearry, Brittney McBride, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Chinquapin Church of Christ with Ferris Keller officiating.
