Barbara Quearry, 83, of Batesville died September 14, 2019.
She was born on July 11, 1936 in Oxford, Arkansas to Fred and Ottaline (Pinkston) McCarroll.
Barbara was a very independent and strong-willed person who loved having family at her home. She was the best grandmother and loved her kids and grandkids. In her free time, she enjoyed watching ''Wheel of Fortune'', going shopping, and talking on the phone with friends. She worked as a CNA for 27 years at Woodlawn Nursing Home and liked having get-togethers with her friends and former coworkers.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Edward Quearry; two sons, Kenneth Quearry (Renee) of Batesville, Roger Quearry of Locust Grove; two daughters, Elaine Dowell (Larry) of Batesville, Lisa Sullins of Conway; one sister, Mary Faye Pinkston of Tyler, Texas; nine grandchildren, Amanda Dowell, Keith Dowell, Jessica Ward, Tawny Quearry, Amanda Green, Ashley Williams, Alicia Barber, Brian Quearry, Brittney McBride, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Chinquapin Church of Christ with Ferris Keller officiating.
