Nathan Turner, 56, of Batesville, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019.
He was born on March 23, 1962 in Batesville, Arkansas to Kenneth Ray Turner and Shirley (McGaha) Turner.
Nathan was a good son, father and grandfather, who loved his family very much, including his dog, Ace. He was a hard worker who could fix just about anything and loved working on the farm. When he was not working at Heritage Propane, where he was employed for 35 years, he enjoyed many things such as hunting, fishing, dirt track racing, and NASCAR.
Survivors include his loving wife whom he married on April 9, 1982, Belinda (Southerland) Turner; one son, Jordan Turner (Jessie) of Batesville; his parents; and three grandchildren, Kayden, Drake, and Maverick Turner; and mother-in-law, Mary Lou Southerland.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Tootsie McGaha; paternal grandparents, Verdell and Armita Hodge; and his father-in-law, Chester Southerland.
Pallbearers are Billy McCluskey, Jason Goodman, Nathan Stephens, Bob Mount, McCoy Bramblett, and Jordan Turner.
Honorary pallbearers are present and former employees of Heritage Propane, Jerry Foley, and Dwight Pippenger.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Wood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00p.m. on Sunday at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
