James Vernon Moore, born September 21, 1931, in Batesville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was the son of Albert and Audra (Maderais) Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Moore of the home; three children, Carol Clouse and Daniel Moore of Batesville, and Vincent Moore (Toni) of Yukon, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, LaVerl Mason and Nona Floyd (R.B.).
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Audra Julia Moore; brothers, Allen Leroy Moore and David Moore; and sister, Virginia Mae Moore.
He was a loving man caring about his family and friends. He prided himself in having perfect church attendance for several consecutive years. He was very involved in alcohol recovery and helped many transition to a sober, productive life. For several years he drove the VA bus, transporting veterans to and from Little Rock.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11:00 o'clock with visitation from 10:00-11:00 o'clock all at the Church of the Nazarene.
Pallbearers are Michael Clouse, Jason Clouse, Johnathan Clouse, Thomas Floyd, Steve Moore, Bruce Moler, Michael Moore, Robert Moore, and Allen Fusare. Revs. Nancy Cantrell and John Wright will be officiating.
sorry to hear of his passing, knew him when he lived in california, he was once married to my sister Pat. Really liked this guy, was always an outgoing friendly fellow.
"Pop" played a major role in my life growing up and was a mentor. I feel blessed that he was part of my life and pray that someday I will see him again in Heaven with our Lord. Our prayers are for the comfort from our Lord Jesus to be with the entire, including extended family during this time of loss.
Our hearts grieve at the loss of James. What a wonderful friend he was. He will forever be in our hearts. Sending our love, thoughts and prayers to all of his family at this sad time and in the days ahead. He will be missed. Fred, Shara and Matt Reinheardt
