Ida Mae (McDoniel) Dugger, 88, of Batesville passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in Searcy.
She was born on January 29, 1931 in Sulphur Rock to Alton and Lillie (Weaver) McDoniel.
Ida Mae was faithful church member of Desha Baptist Church where she helped with Vacation Bible School and was a member of the choir. She was very giving, had a strong will, and was feisty with a good sense of humor and the gift of gab. She loved her family they were her life. She was a great cook and had some of the best coconut and chocolate pies. Ida Mae enjoyed working in the yard, and in the flower bed, and she also loved to go bowling.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Wilkerson and Donna Motes both of Batesville; three brothers, Jim McDoniel (Bobbie), Robert McDoniel (Sarah), and Wallace McDoniel (Lois); two sisters, Barbara Britton (Bill) and Juanita Bainbridge all of Newark; four grandchildren, Jennifer Wright (Dalton), Shawn Wilkerson (Dee), Bryan Morris, and Kyle Motes (Megan); nine great-grandchildren; Darla Hayes (Pat) and several other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Elmer Dugger; son, James Edward Dugger; three brothers, Paul McDoniel, Tim McDoniel, and James McDoniel; and one sister, Hava Brooks.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Wilkerson, Bryan Morris, Dalton Wright, Randy Hooper, Dylan Wilkerson, and Cody Dickey. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Motes, Tristan Motes, Kealan Motes, Kaya Motes, Connor Morris, Kyla Morris, and Faith Wilkerson.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville with Josh Swinea officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the funeral home.

Praying for you during this separation. Isn't it a blessing to know that through the blood of Jesus this is NOT a "loss"! We will see her again!

Ms Ida was a wonderful neighbor and such a blessing in our neighborhood. She loved her family and her church family. Everyone should be so lucky to have a Ms Ida for a friend. Thank you Ms Ida for all the wonderful things you've done for me. God bless and comfort your loved ones.
