Beverly Walmsley Brink, 78, of Batesville, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018.

She was born on May 27, 1940 in Desha, Arkansas. Her parents were Euel and Elsie Taylor. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a retired college professor, where she taught reading education at Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho and Washington State University in Vancouver, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Roger Brink of Bentonville, Arkansas; one son, Andrew Walmsley (Ann) of Batesville, Arkansas; four step-sons, Keith Brink (Dianna) of Jonesboro, Georgia, Jimmy Brink (Marilyn) of Spokane, Washington, Ronnie Brink (Rhonda) of Wagner, North Carolina, and Tim Brink of Longview, Washington; three grandchildren, Matthew Walmsley, Joshua Walmsley, and Anna Grace Walmsley; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Her favorite activities were traveling with Roger in their motor home and spending time with her grandchildren, especially at the ball fields watching Matthew or Josh play football or baseball.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 3rd from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church (615 E. Main Street) in Batesville followed by a Memorial Service at the church at 2:00 pm. After the memorial service, a graveside service will be held at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Locust Grove, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the Susan G Komen for the Cure Foundation (ww5.komen.org).

I offer my condolences.. I lived near Beverly at Locust Grove when she was growing up. I am 92 and unable to attend her services.

Beverly and I graduated from H. S. together. I enjoyed seeing her at our class reunion a couple weeks ago. My condolences and prayers for her family.
