Ewell Ray (E. R.) Coleman of Little Rock, formerly of Cord, died and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was born on October 12, 1925 in Cord, AR to Ewell Winfred and Hazel Estella Greer Coleman.
He was a businessman, farmer and land owner. He farmed in the Cord-Dowdy community. He was a faithful member of the Cord Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois Florene Hugg Coleman of 62 years, a granddaughter, Jennifer LeAnn Kennedy, a brother, Van Doyne Coleman and a sister, Winona Coleman Penn.
He is survived by his children, Carol Coleman-Kennedy of Little Rock, Kathryn May (Larry) of Little Rock, Donald Coleman (Deann) of Batesville; grandchildren Ashley Kennedy Holmes (Kevin) of Jonesboro, Winfred Isaac Coleman (Jennifer) of Batesville, William David Coleman (Lane) of Fayetteville, Whitney Coleman Massey (Josh) of Batesville, and Andrew McLarry May (Christie) of Mt. Enterprise, Texas; great grandchildren Kennedy LeAnn Holmes of Winchester, Colorado, Kathryn Elizabeth Holmes of Jonesboro, Caden Lawrence Coleman of Fayetteville, Cooper Isaac Coleman, Caitlin Frances Coleman, Chloe Greer Massey and Clinton Coleman Massey, all of Batesville; great step-children Kahya Woodward and Kira Smith of Mt. Enterprise, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Winfred Isaac Coleman, William David Coleman, Josh Massey, Andrew May, Kevin Holmes, and Joe Greer.
Honorary Pallbearers are Benny Green M.D. and Jim Williams.
Funeral Services will be held at the Cord Baptist Church on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Reverends Bobby Coleman and Jeff Childers will be officiating.
Interment will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery, Cord, AR.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. at the Cord Baptist Church.
