of Marshall, AR
September 27, 1942 - November 30, 2019
Billy Taylor Loggins, age 77 of Marshall, Arkansas returned to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas with his beloved family at his side. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on September 27th, 1942 to Floyd Taylor Loggins and Okla Annis Sanders Loggins. Billy married the love of his life, Betty Eaton Loggins on September 3rd, 1960. They were blessed with 59 wonderful years of marriage and to this union were born three daughters, Teresa, Trena and Treva Kay.
Billy graduated Marshall High School in 1961. During his school years he developed and excelled in his passion for the game of basketball. His beloved mentor and coach, Ray Moore, not only taught him the love of the game but instilled in him to excel in the values of life. As a child growing up in Zack, Billy learned the love of camping, hunting, and fishing on the Buffalo River. Fishing trips to Canada was one of the greatest highlights in his life. Billy's love of the outdoors continued over into his work life. He was lumber grader at Branscum and Harness Lumber Co. and Treat Lumber Co. for 40 years where he retired from to look after his beloved wife, Betty, for the last 19 years. As his children were growing up he taught them to lead by example and the value of honesty, integrity, strength and character, but most of all faith. Billy received Christ as his savior and was baptized at the Marshall Assembly of God Church. He loved church and his church family. One of his greatest joys in the later years of his life was walking into church and feeling the presence of God. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. He taught his grandchildren the love of the great outdoors with special hunting, fishing and camping trips that they will treasure forever. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports and went to as many games as he could. He loved to hear the laughter and joy of his great-grandchildren coming through the front door and he loved sneaking them candy and cookies. The value of Billy's life can be measured in the legacy that he leaves behind in his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Eaton Loggins; three daughters, Teresa (Jackie) Hinchey of Chimes, Trena (Roger) Ellison of Marshall, and Treva Kay (Travis) Ratchford of Farmington; his beloved grandchildren, William (Courtney) Hinchey of Chimes, Jonathan (Renee`) Hinchey of Marshall, Matt (Keisha) Hinchey of Marshall, Derek (Megan) McDaniel of Anchor Point, AK, Kayla Smithson of Springdale and Erica Smithson of St. Joe; great-grandchildren, Jasper and Joely Hinchey of Chimes, Jericho and Jentri Hinchey of Marshall, Jenah and Jantzen Hinchey of Marshall, Mason, Madison and Sophie McDaniel of Anchor Point, AK and Hadley Haley of Springdale; one sister, Jeweldean Hensley of Marshall; one brother, Joe Dale (Betty) Loggins of Marshall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends who will mourn his passing.

I will truly miss Bill's smiling face, quick wit and orneryness. He made me happy just by entering the room. He was my first friend at dialysis. He introduced himself and then told me a joke. I will never forget that kindness or him.
May God bless your family as you go through this trying time. He spoke of you often and with great pride and love. He will be missed!

I did not know Billy, but I know his wife and children and they are all very special people. To have been with Betty that long and to have raised such wonderful children he had to also be a very special man. I know he will be missed by family and friends alike. My heart goes out to each and everyone of you. May you find comfort from God during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
