Maxine Carroll, 95, a resident of Paris, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston.
She was born June 5, 1924, in Scranton to the late George and Mattie (Roper) Haycox. Maxine was a member of the First Assembly of God in Paris.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maze Carroll and her daughter, Lisa (Carroll) Armstrong.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Rev. J.R. Armstrong of Orange, Texas and two grandsons, James R. Armstrong, III of Fayetteville and Maze Armstrong of Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the First Assembly of God in Paris. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kenny Maness officiating. Burial will be private in Baxley Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris
