Armil Hulen Poynter died on May 14, 2018, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. He was born December 15, 1928, in Oark, Arkansas to Virgil and Mollie Poynter. He was married for 62 years to Nancy and they lived their life in Brickeys, Arkansas, where they raised four children.

Armil was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing to his family. He was a generous man. He never met a stranger and he always had a smile and a joke to tell. Armil loved the land and was a farmer the majority of his life He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He served as an elder in the Hughes Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. He loved his spiritual brothers and sisters.

He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Poynter of Mississippi and three sons, Lynn Poynter and Troy Poynter of Brickeys, Arkansas, Clifton Poynter (Angela) of Northwest Arkansas; four grandchildren, Lynn Poynter II, Wes Dillard, Megan Poynter Hobelmann (Andrew) and Chelsea Poynter; eight-great grandchildren; one brother, Dean Poynter and a sister-in- law, Sue Poynter (Cecil).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, four brothers and one sister.

Memorial services will be held at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM.

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
