I know I am very late in sending condolences to you and the girls. My heart was very sad to hear about John's passing. Our loss on earth is heaven's gain.
As I think about the long friendship our families have had I thank God for the opportunity of knowing John.
He was my Sunday School teacher for a while, too!
It gives me joy to know he is with Jesus and our other "family" members that when on before him
Love to Frances, Valerie and Melanie from Ann

Dear Frances, Valerie, Melanie and extended family,

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Valerie and Melanie, I have very fond memories of your dad from our fun days together as cheerleaders. He was always so kind to all of your friends and always showed a genuine interest and concern. As a kid, I'm not sure I realized what an accomplished person he also was. I do remember how fit and cheerful he always was. My deepest condolences to all of you.

We are extremely sorry for your loss. We have known John since 1968 when Johnny Shields intoduced us to him at KGMR at Jacksonville. He has handled our taxes since that time. It was always a pleasure when we took our paperwork to him to visit for awhile. He was an easy man to talk to and he will be missed by our family.

I'm sorry that the world had to lose such a good man. I consider the Golliglee's and the Chism's to be family. I hope that Chase and his sisters, Megan and Mallory, recover from this tragic loss. I know how hard it is to lose someone so close at their age. To the Chism's: I wish you luck in your recovery. Time heals all wounds. Keep his memory in your hearts. In this way, he will always be with you. Sincerely, Shane M. Dreher.

Frances, we are so very for your loss. I have such fond memories of Uncle John. He was a wonderful man! I find comfort knowing he is no longer in pain. And that he has been reunited with so many that he loves. I appreciate how much he made me feel at home whenever I saw him. I hate that I didn't get to see him a few days ago while we were at the same hospital. Just so much was going on. You, the girls, and the grandkids will be in our prayers. I know you have hard days ahead of you. John lived an amazing life of faith in Christ Jesus, he no longer needs faith as we do, because his faith has become sight as he looks upon the precious face of His Savior! Love you so very much. PLEASE be sure to call if you need us for ANYTHING!

John was our accountant, but more importantly our friend for well over 30 years. We will miss his good humor, professionalism and friendship. As with his participation in sports, his profession, his life and everything he did, he gave this last battle his all. What a gentleman he was.
