Thides Ola Ashley, 95, of Dyess entered into rest Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in Osceola. Born December 7, 1914 in Gunnerville, Alabama to the late Edward Jimmerson and Cora Lee Townsend Jimmerson, she was a member of Dyess Central Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by four sons: Donald Ray Ashley of Cushman, Larry Ashley of West Memphis, Bobby Ashley of Booneville and Jerry D. Ashley of Cape Girardeau, MO; three daughters: Melba Pequeno of Chicago, IL, Gail Kilburn of Keiser and Joyce Sparks of Jonesboro; 25 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; one sister: Vera Ashley of Goshen, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Charley T. Ashley, three sons: Charles Ashley, Carey Ashley and Bud Ashley; one daughter: Anne Gilley, two brothers: Wade Jimmerson and Guy Jimmerson and two sisters: Mae Flanigan and Trixie Phillips.

My Grandmother was a very loving person,She lived a very long and happy life.There are so many memories of being with her,never a sad moment........She will be missed so much. Thanks for everything MAW We Love and miss u............

My thought and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. I loved Mrs Ashley and she was one of a kind. She will be missed by all. Lots of great memories with her and the family...God just got another beautiful flower for his garden.
My condolences and deep-felt sorrow go-out to the family members of Mrs. Ashley (or Nanny as she was known in our family). I especially remember her humerus side. The community has lost a special person. Mothers are special and one-of-a-kind, as God meant them to be. The community has lost a precious lady and mother. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Ashley family.
Some of my best memories include Mrs. Ashley. My prayers are with her family. It was a blessing to know her!
I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Ashley's passing. I have many, many memories of when I was a child, growing up in Dyess, sitting on her porch and looking at her flowers. She was a sweet, precious lady.

James and I were so saddened to hear of Mrs Ashley's passing -our hearts hurt for each and everyone of you--we have lost a beautiful Lady, Mother and Friend but Heaven has gained an Angel. God bless you all..
