Gerald Duane Larson, 74, of Benton, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. He was born on May 21, 1945 in Garner, Iowa to Marjorie Bachman and Elmer Leroy Larson.
He was an Engineer in Telecommunications and loved figuring out how things work with his analytical personality and by taking things apart and putting them back together. He also enjoyed golfing as a hobby. He will be missed but his memory will be cherished and his legacy will continue in through those who loved and cared for him.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Cecil Larson, Keith Larson, and John Larson.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Larson, of Benton; his son, John Larson and his wife, Kathi, of Edmond, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Bethany Larson-Bloch and her husband, Chris, Olivia Larson- Petree and her husband, George, Gentrey Anderson, Beckham Larson, and Branick Larson; his brother, Wayne Larson and his wife, Sally, of Washington State, and many other extended family members and friends.
Graveside Services will be private. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

Ann and John, although I don't think we ever met, Gerry spoke of you both quite often. I worked with him for probably 25 years at Teletype/AT&T/Lucent/Avaya. I considered him a close friend. We enjoyed many a hand of lunchtime bridge. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

So very sorry for your loss. Gerald and my Gerald spent almost a year in the same room at Heartland. I will miss seeing him and giving him chocolate chip cookies
