Margaret "Joni" Joan Hogue

Joni Hogue, 71, passed away October 14, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on April 7, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Joseph E. and Margaret E. (Edwards) Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Marie Miller and Pearl Watson and her brothers, David Paul Miller and James Allen Smith.

Joni spent her career years working in the Health Care field as a Quality Management Director. She truly made a difference in the care patients received in the hospital. She obtained a Triple Certification in her field and worked with Health Care Facilities and Health Care Corporations in nine states.

Her memory will be cherished her husband, Stephen Hogue; her brothers, Jimmy Miller and Joseph Eddie Miller; sister, Rita Patricia Kindred; nieces; nephew;, brothers-in-law, Johnny Hogue and Charles Hogue; her aunt, Rita Eslic; her many cousins and friends; and her fur babies, Max, Cooper, Annie, and Zoe. More than anyone, she will be missed by her bestest best friend of over forty years, Cathy Martin and her family: George, Amanda and Alicia. Cathy was such a blessing to Joni.

Per Joni's request, no services will be held.

Joni's message to all her family, friends, and animals: "I love you so much."

Stephen,,, I just received your card (20 Dec.'19), I am SO SORRY! I know you miss her, she was a Good Woman, I believe you two were good partners together. I figured that I would leave this world before she, I'm 2 months older than Joni. and much over weight. She and I spoke together, on the phone, last, about summers end, but I don't remember exactly when.
