Dorothy Rae Schaefer

of Bryant, AR

November 18, 1947 - February 2, 2019

Dorothy Rae Schaefer, age 71, of Bryant, passed away peacefully February 2, 2019 in Little Rock. She was born November 18, 1947 in New York to Wesley and Marie Murphy Plouch.

Being a New York native, you never had to guess where you stood with her and her opinions were rarely kept quiet. You could say she was "feisty with a capital F!" Though in the same, she was the most loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren, and you couldn't ask for a better woman to be there in body or conversation. She attended Family Church in Bryant on occasion, but was still of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a great cook. Her memory will be forever cherished and her legacy will continue on through her family and many others who loved her dearly.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George H. Schaefer; and her two brothers, Stephen Jablonowski and Michael Jablonowski.

She is survived by her son, George J. Schaefer and his wife Jamie; her two daughters, Dottie Morrison and her partner Frank Hentschel, Nancy Faile and her husband, Al; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Katie, Taylor, Ali, Kacey, Daniel, and Ryan; her three brothers, Joe Plouch and his wife, Sheila and Gary Plouch and his wife, Jaki and William Plouch; two sisters, Charlene Plouch and Debbie Sanders; and many other extended family members and friends.

Memorials in Dorothy's name may be made to the Second Chance Youth Ranch in Bryant.
