Billy Ray Gilley, age 84, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Saturday March 14, 2020 in Gassville, Arkansas.
Billy was born August 23, 1935 in Yellville, Arkansas to the late Bascom and Ethel (Bogle) Gilley. He had worked as a logger, and he worked as a bus driver for Y-S Schools for fourteen years. He enjoyed working on cars.
Mr. Gilley is survived by his wife Margaret of the home; one son: Steven Ray Gilley (Susan) of Valley Springs, Arkansas; two stepsons: Avery Hensley of Yellville, Arkansas; Michael Hensley of Summit, Arkansas; two daughters: Cheryl Lynn Burris of Briarcliff, Arkansas; Tina (Bryan) Burleson of Gulf Port, Mississippi; one sister Shirley Baker (Billy Charles) of Seattle, Washington; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Linda, his sister Floy Stephens, his brothers: Doy Gilley, and Coy Gilley; his son Jeffrey Dale Gilley; and his stepsons: Sean Eric Hensley and Christopher G. Hensley.
A memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church in Yellville, Arkansas with Pastor Blake Brinegar officiating.

Steve would like to thank everyone for their condolences. With his lymphoma diagnosis he does not feel safe attending the service. He and his family appreciate you all.
My family wants to thank everybody for their sincere condolences for the loss of our Dad. He will be missed greatly. He was a good man and a great Dad who did his best for me and my two brothers and sister after the loss of our Mom. We Love you Daddy!
Was very funny to listen to as a kid spent a many a day out at gilleyville growing up.
