Swemp Woodson Spears, age 89, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Spears was born October 17, 1929 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to the late Harley and Nora Jean (Simmons) Spears. He had lived in the area for the past 23 years coming here from Fresno, California. He was a truck driver and he enjoyed the outdoors. He liked fishing when he and Vera went on vacation.
Swemp is survived by his wife, Vera, of the home; one daughter Lethia Abney of Midwest City, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law Kathy Spears of Visalia, California; one brother Fred Spears of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister Janice Hargis of Rancho Madera, California; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son Darrell Spears.
A memorial service will be held by the family 2:00 pm Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Yellville Missionary Baptist Church in Yellville, Arkansas with Bro. Jim Poole officiating.
