Amelia B. "Molly" Carender, age 93, of Gassville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Molly was born March 12, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Antonio and Amelia (Castro) Barrera. She was a homemaker. During her husband's 25years of military service she had the opportunity to live in Japan and Alaska. A member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Flippin, Molly was known for her famous Mexican Dinners and Molly's Tamales
Mrs. Carender is survived by her daughter Amelia Garcia and her husband, Agustine, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her granddaughter Lupe McElroy and her husband, Rick, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her cousins: Bonnie and Harley Plumlee and Betty Joe and John Laubenstein all of Yellville, Arkansas; Jean and Ben Poyndexter of Loomis, California and many other cousins; three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; her son David; and her sisters: Anita Reyna; Deloris Alacla; and Lily Huizar.
A visitation for Mrs. Carender will be 5:00 '''' 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2018 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Spring Creek Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas with Douglas Parnell officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Heith Hogan, Bro. Roy Cain, and Bro. Roger Rogers.
