Addie Lee Estes

of Yellville, AR

December 17, 1960 - September 26, 2018

Addie Lee Estes, age 57, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at her home.

She was born December 17, 1960 in Gainesville, Missouri to the late Roland Glenn and Betty Eileen (Thiele) Sweet.

Addie grew up on a ranch and had many trades and talents. She traveled at a young age, bartending to provide herself with income; later she would settle back down on her own ranch and raise her two sons surrounded by her animals. She was a teacher fore K-12 Special Ed. Her passion and her drive kept her busy, but she always found time to do more. Some of her crafts included making soap, jams, jellies, lotions facial scrubs, and cooking for her family especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Some favorite dishes of her family include her homemade chili and her shepherd's pie (which her family referred to as poor man's pie). Addie's life was full and she left an impression on all those she met. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and she had to stories to back it up. While she is truly missed, there is no doubt that she left an impression on every person whom she met and the memories of her will be treasured.

Addie is survived by two sons: Rockne Estes of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Dustin Estes of Yellville, Arkansas; two brothers: Rockne Lynn Sweet of Yellville, Arkansas; Roland Patrick Sweet of Yellville, Arkansas; three sisters: Carrie Mae Sweet of Green Forest, Arkansas; Charlene Kathryn Sweet; Jessie Faye Sweet, both of Dallas, Texas.

Arrangements for Mrs. Estes are private at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

How very quietly you tiptoed into our world, silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footprints have left upon our hearts. You will be greatly missed and thought of often. Classmate from 1979.
