Gary G. Edmonson, age 67, of Harrison, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 25, 2020. He was born at Harrison, on January 4, 1953, to parents Marion Lee ''Sonny'' and Bertha Mae (Creamer) Edmonson.
Gary had been a resident of Boone County all of his life. He graduated from Bergman High School in 1970 where he lettered in basketball and baseball. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends. He especially loved listening to his dogs run but his greatest passion was watching his grandson, Tyler, play baseball. Upon graduating high school, Gary went to work for Cloud Oak/Wabash Wood Products where he worked for 45 years and retired from. Gary married the love of his life, Vicki B. Rushing, on September 19, 1970. To this union was born one son, Steven Gary Edmonson.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene Carol Blackstock. Survivors include his wife, Vicki Edmonson, of the home; his son, Steven Edmonson and wife Marcena of Bergman, Arkansas; his brothers, Sonny Alan Edmonson and Mary Hornbacher of Valley Springs, Arkansas, and Scotty and Sonya Edmonson of Harrison; his sisters, Donna and Tommy Jackson of Bergman, Linda and Leroy Simmons of Olvey, Arkansas, and Connie Baines of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Tyler Edmonson and Zach Neer; a multitude of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and dear friends.
The family wishes a special thank you to Legacy Hospice of North Arkansas and Dr. Kevin Jackson and his staff.
Visitation was 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2020, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Jimmy Dale Huskey officiating.
Interment was at York Cemetery, Bergman, AR.
Pallbearers were Dr. Kevin Jackson, Darin Jackson, Travis Jackson, Rick England, Dana Jones, R.D. Taylor, Brett Edmonson, and Drew Edmonson.
So sorry for your loss. I worked at Cloud from 83-87 along with my dad. The first time I met Gary was the day my car slid into the ditch during an ice storm and here he came in his Yellow Ford along with my dad to help. I never forgot that. A good man is remembered by his deeds.

Such good memories we have of Gary at Ty’s baseball games, nothing he enjoyed more than being Ty’s pawpaw Gary. He was a good family man and it was a blessing to share a grandson with him. We will miss you Gary.
